Are there agendas for these things, or are they primarily social events? Am intrigued to stop by, but it would mean a lot of schedule-rearranging...

There is an Agenda, but I don’t know the one for this meeting. It is probably Social Security again. There is usually a small presentation for about a half an hour about what is going on and what we are doing. Then, we might break up and do tasks like write letters to people or talk about different strategies. Like last time, we went over good and bad answers in the Social Security debate.

After that, it is usually just a social thing. The social thing is good because you get to know the people who you might be working with in the future (less so now with no election).

It's a fun time, but if your schedule is messed up, then it is up to you.

This was my first one, last month. I think you can sort of participateor not participate as to your liking. I ended up just talking politics the whole time, meeting a few new people, drinking a few beers, etc. It was worthwhile. If I can make it tomorrow, I am there. I will be the guy with the really messy handwriting on my nametag.

I have you beat on the messy nametag.

On the agenda again - yes, it'll be SocSec, but with a twist -- we are going to protest the Republican Noise Machine with the Billionaires for Bush.

The Mercatus Center is wining and dining Congressional Chiefs of Staff (both parties) at the Ritz this weekend -- they'll be promoting Bush's privatization plans.

There will also be an update on the DNC race, and a word about the upcoming campaign against Santorum.

Cool Beans Anne. Thanks. I hope to see you and your husband tomorrow. Also, talk to Dan or I. We could use more bloggers on this thing.
